Recombinant Human Laminin 521 Protein (Animal-Free)

Laminin is a trimeric basement membrane protein that supports cell adhesion, stem cell self-renewal, pluripotency, and specialized differentiation.

Laminin is a cruciform trimeric protein composed of α, β, and γ chains. It is a major component of basement membranes and is widely distributed throughout the basement membranes of various tissues in the early embryo and adult life. Laminin possesses multiple cell-binding motifs that bind to cellular integrins and proteoglycans, activating signaling pathways that regulate the self-renewal and pluripotency of pluripotent stem cells. Laminin 521 and laminin 511 are two important isoforms, with potential to maintain the proliferation and specialized differentiation of pluripotent stem cells.

It can be dissolved using water for injection, physiological saline, culture medium, or PBS. After dissolution, aliquot into small portions. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
